Real-life African American artist Tyree Guyton was sad to see the street he grew up on full of trash, vacant lots, and abandoned houses. Paintbrush in hand, Tyree transformed his decaying, crime-ridden neighborhood into the Heidelberg Project, an interactive sculpture park in Detroit, Michigan.
