Ruth Spiro is the author of the Baby Loves Science board book series. Her debut picture book, Lester Fizz, Bubble-Gum Artist, won awards from Writer's Digest and Willamette Writers and was a Bank Street College of Education Best Book of the Year. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Irene Chan came to the United States to study when she was 18. She received her BFA in graphic design from the Savannah College of Art & Design and has had a successful career in multiple disciplines in design. The birth of her son prompted her to rekindle the love she has with books, storytelling, publishing and art for children, and her characters and art are now licensed for sale as children wall art, lighting, and various home decor products.
