John D. Ivanko is award-winning photographer, author, writer, blogger and national speaker.
He is the co-author (with Maya Ajmera) or photo contributor to nine Global Fund for Children books (Charlesbridge). With Maya Ajmera, he's co-authored the award-winning To Be a Kid, Be My Neighbor, To Be an Artist, Back to School, Animal Friends, and Come Out and Play.
John Ivanko is also the co-author with Lisa Kivirist of Homemade for Sale, Farmstead Chef, the award-winning ECOpreneuring, Rural Renaissance, and Edible Earth. His photography or writing has been published in Mother Earth News, Innovation and Tech Today, Grit, Urban Farm, and Scottish Life, among many other national magazines.
John Ivanko lives on a self-reliant farmstead called Inn Serendipity Farm and Bed & Breakfast in southwestern Wisconsin, shared with his wife and co-author, Lisa Kivirist, their son, a 10 kW Bergey wind turbine, and millions of ladybugs. The farm is completely powered by the wind and sun.
