The late Michael McCurdy was the author and illustrator of An Algonquian Year, Hannah’s Farm, and Trapped by the Ice. He was also the illustrator of more than 200 books for adults and children, including The Founders: The 39 Stories Behind the Constitution and The Train They Call the City of New Orleans. He lived in Springfield, Massachusetts, with his wife before passing away in 2016.
