Born in Zaragoza and now based in Barcelona, Spain, Silvia is a children's book illustrator, writer, engineer and kendoka. She studied illustration in Barcelona at Escola Joso and Escola de la Dona, and later completed the Illustration Professional Certificate at CIFO L'Hospitalet, where she discovered the world of picture books. She enjoys telling many kinds of stories, often with a sense of wonder and a positive outlook on the world. In addition to illustrating, she writes her own stories, and characters such as forest creatures, birds, and small magical beings often appear in her work. She mainly works with watercolor and colored pencils, although she likes to experiment with different materials depending on the project. Silvia loves animals, forests, mountains, and night skies. When she is not drawing, she practices kendo, drinks a lot of tea, and reads fantasy literature. She has illustrated children's books, board games, and web projects, and has also worked on private commissions and illustrated merchandise.
