Stunning full-color paintings illustrate the story of a brother and sister who spend a day aboard a lobstering boat with a lobsterman named Big Joe. The children learn a lot about lobstering and marine life in general by watching and listening to Big Joe as he pulls up his lobster traps, examines the contents, and measures the lobsters. The photographic quality of the realistic illustrations complement and extend the informative nature of the text.
