Jerry Pallotta's childhood memories of growing up on Peggotty Beach in Scituate, Massachusetts, inspired his first book, The Ocean Alphabet Book. That began the best-selling series that includes The Icky Bug Alphabet Book, The Yucky Reptile Alphabet Book, The Flower Alphabet Book, and many others. Jerry lives in Boston, Massachusetts, with his family.

Ralph Masiello, illustrator
Award-winning illustrator, Ralph Masiello, is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design. He has illustrated many books and book covers and is an accomplished fine artist. Ralph lives in Massachusetts with his family. He is affectionately known to teachers and children as The Icky Bug Man.
